6-Week Wheel Throwing Course (All levels)

£360 | 3-4 participants | 6 sessions, 2.5 hours per session

A comprehensive wheel throwing course for all levels, beginners welcome.

We’ll cover every stage of the process in detail from start to finish - from essential theory and clay preparation to throwing and turning on the wheel. Be ready to refine your skills as we delve into the exciting technicalities of wheel throwing.

Throughout the course, we will focus on exploring forms like cylinders, bowls, narrow necks, flared, and rounded shapes. Depending on the group’s level, we’ll also dive into specific forms and techniques based on your interests.

With small groups of up to four people, the course is adapted to each person's level and preferences, allowing for a natural progression.

All necessary materials for the course will be provided. You can make as many pots as you'd like, with a small charge of £5 per kilo of clay for pieces you'd like to have fired, which includes glazing and firing.

The studio is just an 8-10 minute walk from Lee Bridge Station, or you can take bus numbers 55 or 56 and get off at the nearby stop (Perth road). The W19 bus stops nearer to the studio, which you can take from Walthamstow.

Please bring your own apron, and ensure your nails are trimmed short before the class.

Refunds & Cancellations

As a small independent pottery studio run solely by me, changes can make it challenging to manage the studio smoothly. Refunds and rescheduling are only available up to 14 days before the start of the class.
