Wheel Throwing Taster Class

Each class lasts 2 hours, during which I will guide you through the steps of throwing on the potter's wheel, including essential theory and clay preparation. I’ll provide a detailed demonstration, and you’ll then have the chance to create as many pots as you’d like.

At the end of the session, you’ll choose your two favourite pieces, which I will glaze and fire for you. You’ll be able to select your preferred glaze from the studio’s collection.

All taster classes include all materials, equipment, glazing, and firing.

The studio is just an 8-10 minute walk from Lee Bridge Station, or you can take bus numbers 55 or 56 and get off at the nearby stop (Perth road). The W19 bus stops nearer to the studio, which you can take from Walthamstow.

! This course requires at least 3 participants to run. If we don’t reach the minimum, you will be notified and offered a reschedule or refund

Please bring your own apron, and ensure your nails are trimmed short before the class.

Refunds & Cancellations

As a small independent pottery studio run solely by me, changes can make it challenging to manage the studio smoothly. Refunds and rescheduling are only available up to 14 days before the start of the class.
